Jamuhuri ya keya.

Kenya election fever is spreading and the just concluded pre-elections are raising emotions. There were three parliamentary pre elections specifically Kangema, Ndhiwa and Kajiado North where all the former mps passed on hence a pre-election which is very expensive to our economy during these hard financial moments. The pre elections were a successful with very minimal brawls and hopefully 2013 general elections will follow this trend.

The National Alliance (TNA) won two of the three parliamentary seats in Monday's by-elections as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) retained Ndhiwa in a landslide win.Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA won the Kangema and Kajiado North seats, hitherto held by the Party of National Unity (PNU).In Kangema, TNA’s Tiras Ngahu had 13,762 votes ahead of United Democratic Forum’s Simon Mwangi with 2,981 and Saba Saba Asili’s Muturi Kigano with 2,801, after results from all the 47 polling stations were announced.Provisional results for Kajiado North showed Mr Moses ole Sakuda of TNA leading with 25,569 votes followed by Mr Peter ole Mositet of ODM with 13,519 votes. PNU’s Antony Keen was third with 2,048 votes. In Ndhiwa, ODM’s Agustino Neto led with 21,565 votes followed by Kanu’s Tom Onyango who had 2,291. TNA’s Rosemary Rumo was trailing with 216 votes.

The pre elections results can not be used to judge 2013 general elections ( do we even have exact time).  The voting trend has not changed .

Originally Kangema was on Pnu parliamentarian hence no big difference since Uhuru was on PNU in 2007. Uhuru is a big name in Central Kenya and i expected it this way.

Ndhiwa constituency was originally a Odm ground and the pre election trend just followed that trend, just like in Kangema there was no win as the constituents chose to remain loyal to the same affiliations.

Kajiado north followed the trend and TNA clinched the seat, am currently trying to differentiate TNA and PNU, what is the difference by the way?

A new Kenya demand leaders and communities who will coexist harmoniously, there is no time for cheap tribal politics. I urge Kenyans across Kenya to shun tribalism. May God bless this great land.
